when i was really little, my then-stepbrother gave me his old gameboy color and pokemon crystal since he had just gotten a new one or something, and i was totally obsessed with it.
i remember, though, that for all the years i played it, i was playing it with my foe’s name set to ??? because that’s what he was INTRODUCED as and I assumed that when they asked me what his name was, it was a test to see if i was able to remember for the police records.
